The Hilo High School football program will be holding its mandatory parent meeting on Thursday at the school’s cafeteria. All new rookie parents to the program are asked to attend a new parent orientation meeting at 5:30 p.m. The annual meeting will begin promptly at 6 p.m. for all returning parents.

Keaau cheer tryouts, conditioning
Keaau High School will be holding cheer tryouts and conditioning on Monday, July 27 to 30 at the gym from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Candidates are asked to bring comfortable sneakers, shorts, shirt and athletic wear. Required is a valid physical on file with the athletic office prior to participation.

Scholarship trolling tournament
The Hawaii Island Contractors’ Association (HICA), Bank of Hawaii (BOH), and HPM Building Supply will hold their annual Scholarship Trolling Tournament in conjunction with the Hilo Trollers Fishing Tournament on Sunday, Aug. 2.
Entry forms along with tournament rules and regulations may be downloaded and printed from the HICA website at: www.HICAssociation.com or picked up at J. Hara Store Inc., S. Tokunaga Store, and at the HICA office.
Deadline to turn in entry forms and fees is 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31 at the HICA office located at 494-C Kalanikoa Street in Hilo (do not mail).
